Rate Anything is designed to know as little about you as possible. Here is the whole story, in plain English.

Your ratings stay in your browser

When you rate an item or add your own item, that information is stored in your own browser's localStorage — a small storage area on your device. We do not have user accounts, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not send your ratings to any server. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your personal ratings will not carry over, because they never left your device in the first place.

What we do not collect

• No accounts, no passwords, no profiles.
• No contact details unless you email us yourself (see Contact).
• No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no data brokers.

Future analytics and advertising

Right now the site sets no analytics or advertising cookies at all. The site includes a placeholder for an analytics snippet (see analytics.js), which does nothing until a real analytics ID is configured. If we ever enable analytics or ads in the future, this policy will be updated first, and we will keep the data collection to the minimum needed to understand how the site is used.

Affiliate links

Some cards include "Check price" links that may be affiliate links. Clicking one may take you to a retailer that sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy. See our Disclosure for details.
